Hardscaping is the process of adding man-made (non-living elements) to your landscape. Some examples of hardscaping are bricks, paths, walls, concrete, etc. Hardscape elements can be used to define the use of space such as driveways and walkways that can lead visitors through the different parts of the garden, or even a gravel path into a secret part of a landscape! Don’t be fooled. Hardscaping can be hard work but it can elevate the design. Some hardscaping projects may be too physically demanding because of manual labor.
